LEADING SEN EXPERTS

The GAP (Graduated Approaches Project) is an Alternative Provision and Educational Service founded by leading experts within SEMH education.

Ask yourself, is the traditional schooling model truly inclusive of all young people and their unique needs and talents? Does it fully celebrate individuality? Or are many young people being overlooked in crowded classrooms? Returning home stressed, anxious and overwhelmed? In some cases, even refusing to attend? We know that mainstream schools and their teachers care deeply about all students. However, we can’t ignore that the educational landscape is changing, and there are wider systems within our country that are not delivering the results that our young people so desperately need and deserve. The GAP is a dynamic response to this.

Imagine a school that understands the workings of the developing, adolescent brain; a school that provides science driven solutions and life changing outcomes. The GAP (Graduated Approaches Project) is a unique Alternative Provision system that bridges the ‘gaps’ within a young person’s educational, social, emotional, and behavioural development. At The GAP, we weave magic into our young people. We are focused on their individual needs and provide a sense of safety and security, at the same time as empowering them to grow and challenge themselves. All staff at The GAP are experts in the field of Psychology and have extensive experience of supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, nurturing them to re-engage in education, improve their overall quality of life, and achieve exceptional outcomes.
